Forget the worry of remembering when your bill is due.
Save yourself the time it takes to write a check or submit a payment every month, and the cost of postage.
When you enroll in our recurring payment program, your payment is automatically drafted from your bank account or charged to a credit card. You can also set up for an email to be sent each month, letting you know how much your bill is and the date your payment will be drafted, so you will always know exactly what to expect under the My Account and My Alert tabs.
Participation is free. You can cancel your enrollment at any time.
To enroll in recurring payments, you will need:
- CCECA member account number
- Preferred payment method details
- Bank account and routing numbers
- Credit/debit card number and CVV security code (3 numbers on the back of your card). We accept Visa, Discover, and Mastercard.
If you choose, you may arrange for CCECA to draft your bank account monthly for the amount of your electric bill. Your account will be billed, and a bill will be sent to you as usual. Approximately on the 5th of each month, the total amount due will be drafted from your checking account. This delay allows you to contact our office if you have any questions regarding your bill. The date your bank account will be drafted, and the amount to be drafted, will also be indicated on the statement.
- If you are interested in this service, please fill out an authorization sheet and return it to our office along with a voided check.
- To sign up for bank drafting, print the Authorization Agreement for Electronic Bank Drafts form, complete the form, and return it to our office, along with a voided check
- To cancel bank drafting, print the Bank Draft Cancellation form, complete the form, and return it to our office.
- Your bill is due on the 15th of the month, payment not received are considered delinquent, and you will be charged a late payment fee of 5% of the bill.
- CCECA will send you a delinquency notice when a payment is not received by the due date. Once the notice is issued, you have 10 days to pay your electric bill, or your service will be at risk for discontinuation.
- If your electric service is discontinued for bill non-payment, you must pay the full amount owed, disconnect/reconnect fee, adverse action fee, and a deposit if applicable.
You must pay the delinquent amount in full at a CCECA Office or by calling (903) 683-2248.
- Your electric service may be discontinued if you fail or refuse to pay CCECA according to your electric service agreement or rules, applicable rate schedule, or deferred payment.
- At least 10 days before your electric service is scheduled to be disconnected, CCECA will mail a notice with the words “final notice.” The disconnection day cannot fall on a weekend day or holiday, but will fall on the next business day after the 10th day.
- You can stop the disconnection by paying your full balance within the 10-day period at a CCECA office or by calling (903) 683-2248.
- If CCECA must dispatch an employee for disconnection because of a delinquent bill, then you must pay the applicable fees.
Fees and rules are subject to change by the Cherokee County Electric Cooperative Board of Directors.

For CCECA members, there is an easy solution:
levelized billing
Members can take the guesswork out of how much to budget for their electric bill each month by signing up for this simple and easy billing plan. The levelized billing is designed to keep your electric bill affordable every month of the year.
How it works
The current number of kWh used is averaged in with the last 12 months. The bill is then figured according to our base rate and current PCRF (Power Cost Recovery Factor) on that average number of kWh. The amount will change every month according to the current usage. It’s that simple.
The levelized billing plan is available for residential members of CCECA who have a 0 balance.
If a levelized billing plan sounds like an option that would benefit you and your budgeting needs, or if you have any questions, please contact our Member Service Department at (903) 683-2248 extension 4700 or email CCECA.
If you or a family member is currently listed in the Cherokee County Critical Care – Medical Priority Registry and your address, phone number, or life-support equipment has changed, please submit a new form with updated information.
